Y'all should come visit me...

...because Austin is a great place and often when I go places and do things I wish more of my friends could enjoy it with me.(*we went to the Zilker park this morning and rented canoes)

The flight over here was very long and uneventful. I'm thankful I didn't have to travel alone and that everything went so well. Even the part I was most concerned about, going through immigration, went very well. I did have a huge grin on my face when I was officially let in the US.

I've been getting to know my wonderful host family, the Rogans, this week, hang out with the Lundgaards and Greers, went to the office and tried to learn as much as possible about Austin. I had the privilege to drink wonderful coffee from the best baristas in the area. I got acquainted with the local squirels, turtles and deer.

I haven't done much work this week. I met a few wonderful people from the office though and I can't wait to start working with them and the youth. The priority this week was to get over jetlag and try to learn how to get around. I'm very thankful I have a car. I'll post pictures of it later... I think you'll laugh!
